Green Collar

Green Collar Award : another first for the NAC Group

Green Collar Training is pleased to announce the launch of its new Green Collar Award. This Level 2 qualification is accredited by NCFE and has been designed to enhance the green skills of staff working in manufacturing companies.

The Award aims to raise awareness of the concept and principles of sustainable development, and set them in a practical workplace context. It brings to life the employing company’s environmental policy, and then delivers a green improvement project which will enhance company performance.

Delivery can be organised to meet the needs of the individual company – ensuring that any disruption to the normal routine is kept to a minimum. The green improvement project demonstrates that the learner has understood, and can apply, the lessons on sustainable development. It also enables them to show that they can be enterprising.

The achievement of measurable improvements in the workplace demonstrates that a sustainable approach can bring immediate practical benefits to the business, rather than just remaining a set of theoretical concepts.

Paul Gough, MD Green Collar Training said "This new Award underlines the NAC Group's commitment to innovation in the development of training products which address the green agenda whilst meeting practical business needs. We expect the new Award to appeal to any manufacturing company that is seeking to adapt to meet the green pressures and challenges that we face. But, it will also help to develop vital green and enterprise skills in all staff who participate."
