New orders 'may boost green collar training demand'

The number of people seeking to undergo green collar training may rise thanks to the announcement of one firm that it is to employ 200 new staff members.
GT Group has revealed that it has experienced a £200 million increase in orders for its engine emissions control system, bdaily reports.
Geoff Turnbull, chairman of the company - which is a product development organisation supplying products such as drybreak couplings and exhaust gas control valves - said the new business will have a knock-on effect on its north-east supply chain.
He added: "The companies we use on a daily basis will see the benefit of our growth and we are always trying to work with companies in the north-east."
As well as creating new employment opportunities, the additional demand for its products will also safeguard the positions of hundreds of people already working for the firm.
According to Mr Turnbull, new regulations concerning transport emissions are causing vehicle manufacturers around the world to source new technologies.
