Renault's electric car plans 'may lead to increase in green collar training'

More people with green collar training may be required as a result of plans announced by Renault.
The manufacturer - which classifies the environment as one of its four main areas of research - is to roll out a range of electric vehicles as early as next year, the Independent reports.
During the Geneva Motor Show, the company confirmed that it intends to compete aggressively in the electric vehicle sector.
Among the new models which are designed to be kinder to the environment are the Renault Twizy ZE, which the news source describes as "reminiscent of the Smart car" and an electric version of its Fluence sedan, the Fleunce ZE.
Renault said it is already making advances concerning its infrastructure in order to support the new cars from the time of their release.
For example, it is entering into new partnerships with energy firms and is developing a recycling process for lithium-based batteries.
